Professional Positioning

Precision at the intersection of systems, people, and scale.

Three decades of practice across entertainment, communication infrastructure, enterprise SaaS, federal healthcare systems, and AI-assisted operations has produced one consistent discipline: building digital systems that are operationally rigorous and genuinely usable in equal measure.

Enterprise UX

Complex workflow systems, multi-tenant SaaS platforms, and operational interfaces designed for scale and sustained use.

Accessibility

WCAG 2.2, ADA, and Section 508 built into the design process, not retrofitted after the fact.

Operational Systems

Interfaces that reduce cognitive friction and align process efficiency with how people actually work.

AI Workflow Systems

Agentic tooling, automation pipelines, and AI-assisted UX processes deployed in real production contexts.

SaaS Ecosystems

Multi-platform product strategy across interconnected enterprise SaaS environments, from architecture to implementation.

Hybrid Digital + Physical

Systems that span digital interfaces, QR engagement, fabrication workflows, and tangible experience surfaces.

Platform Architecture

Interconnected operational foundations designed so each system compounds the capability of the others, built as infrastructure, not features.

Ecosystem Builder

Founding and scaling multi-platform operational studios from architectural first principles. Founder, Happy Path Studios: HPS Golf, HPS Shalom, HPS Accessibility.

Product Design Process

From product strategy through production.

I use the same seven-stage methodology across enterprise platforms, accessibility systems, operational products, and customer experiences — adapting the work to each product rather than reinventing the process.

  1. Business Problem

Understanding the operational, clinical, financial, or user problem before interface work begins — what decision or action the product must support and what happens when it fails.

  2. User Flow

Mapping how each user type moves through the workflow, including primary paths, exceptions, dependencies, and operational constraints.

  3. Wireframe

Structuring information hierarchy, interaction sequence, and core workflows before visual design so the experience works on its own.

  4. Iteration

Testing the structure against edge cases, exception states, accessibility requirements, and the needs of every user role the system must support.

  5. High Fidelity

Applying the design system, reusable components, interaction states, brand requirements, and accessibility standards to the validated structure.

  6. Prototype

Building interactive prototypes to validate navigation, workflow, timing, transitions, and complex interactions before implementation.

  7. Production

Collaborating directly with engineering through implementation, quality review, accessibility validation, refinement, and deployment.

Accessibility Leadership

“Accessibility is not a compliance checkbox. It is a design principle embedded in every system I build.”

AI Workflow Systems

AI as an operational layer, not a novelty.

Actively integrating AI into real production environments, not experiments. Automation pipelines, agentic systems, and hybrid AI infrastructure applied to SaaS operations, accessibility workflows, content systems, and enterprise UX processes.

AI-Assisted Workflow Automation

Trigger-based pipelines that eliminate manual overhead from repeatable business operations, built around real constraints, not demos.

Agentic Systems

Multi-agent orchestration for content generation, research synthesis, reporting, and task automation across SaaS environments.

Hybrid Local + Cloud AI

Local LLM infrastructure running alongside cloud services: cost-effective, privacy-aware, and responsive to operational context.

AI-Enhanced UX Processes

AI tooling applied to research synthesis, documentation, content scaffolding, and prototyping, compressing the work without cutting corners.

Marketing Automation

AI-assisted content generation, scheduling, and engagement workflows deployed across platform ecosystems at scale.

SaaS Ecosystem Automation

Cross-platform workflow orchestration and operational AI integration across interconnected SaaS environments.

Systems Evolution

Thirty-five years. Six distinct systems eras. One continuous discipline.

1996–2006

Era 01 · Creative Systems

Creative & Entertainment Foundations

Art direction, illustration, environmental graphics, stage design, movie props, trade show fabrication, and signage systems for Warner Bros., Universal Studios, Fox, Sony, and Disney-related projects. This era was not a detour from systems thinking; it was its origin. Physical design at production scale is systems design with higher stakes for error.

2006–2010

Era 02 · Web & Interactive Systems

Web & Interactive Systems

The visual systems discipline from the entertainment years carried directly into early web work: information architecture, interactive media, eCommerce systems, and branding systems for consumer and entertainment brands. The transition was less a career pivot than a medium shift, as the problems of communicating through structure translated from physical to digital.

2010–2012

Era 03 · Mobile Communication Systems

Mobile & Communication Platforms

The iPhone brought the same design-for-interaction problems into handheld form, with new constraints and new stakes. Worked across iPhone, iPad, and large-scale audio conferencing platforms serving millions of users. Objective-C and Cocoa Touch development alongside design created an integrated perspective on mobile interaction that persists through every subsequent system.

Era 04 · Enterprise SaaS Systems

Enterprise SaaS & Operational UX

Became primary UX owner for Blackboard Connect, a mass notification platform for thousands of educational institutions. Led front-end engineering alongside design, a parallel-track model that produced fewer handoff failures and more structurally grounded design decisions. Expanded into enterprise analytics, fleet management, and educational technology systems. The operational UX discipline developed here became the foundation for every subsequent enterprise engagement.

Era 05 · Healthcare & Federal Systems

Healthcare, Federal & Accessibility Systems

Complex government healthcare reporting systems for CMS.gov regulatory initiatives: RxDC, GCPCA, AADC, and CRAB enterprise workflows. Concurrent enterprise pharmacy and patient management SaaS. The accessibility practice deepened from compliance requirement to operational discipline, with WCAG and Section 508 embedded at the specification stage, not reviewed after the fact. Federal systems operate under a different design gravity: the interface is not optional and the consequences of failure are not abstract.

Era 06 · AI & Operational Ecosystems

AI Workflow & HPS Ecosystem Systems

Continued enterprise healthcare SaaS leadership while building an independent ecosystem of operational platforms: HPS Golf, accessibility services, AI-assisted workflow systems, QR engagement infrastructure, and hybrid digital/physical production capabilities. The systems thinking developed over thirty-five years is now the architecture of Happy Path Studios, a studio built around operational platforms rather than project delivery.
